ITINERARY
CHANDIGARH TO MANALI
Pick up from Chandigarh airport and drive to Manali.
MANALI TO CHANDRATAAL
Start early for Chandra Taal or Tso Chigma, pristine lake at an altitude of 14600 ft at lahul spiti valley. We will be staying overnight at camp site, well organized and fresh food.
CHANDRATAAL TO KAZA
Post breakfast we start for Kaza. At losar we will have lunch break and proceed ahead via kee, kibber village to reach kaza by evening. At leisure.
KAZA
After our breakfast we will leave for village Langza, famous for fossils of marine animals and plants, situated at the height of 14,500 ft. dominated by the statue of Lord Buddha overlooking the valley and the ancient monastery. Later we will visit Komic, situated at the elevation of 1507 ft and Hikim with world’s highest post office.
KAZA TO TABO
No hurry, enjoy your tea/coffee, have your breakfast and then we proceed for tabo via dhankar monastery visit, situated at the confluence of Spiti and Pin Rivers. We will reach Tabo by evening.
TABO TO SANGLA
Post breakfast we will visit one of the oldest Mud monasteries of Spiti valley, with beautiful frescos on wall. Tabo monastery is also known as Ajanta of Himalayas established in 996 CE. After our visit we will proceed ahead for sangla via Giu village and Nako.
SANGLA TO CHITKUL TO SANGLA
Relaxed morning and post breakfast we leave for Chitkul, the last Hidhustan boader village.
SANGLA TO CHANDIGARH
Last phase of our expedition we will start post breakfast and head for Chandigarh.
