ITINERARY

DELHI / CHANDIGARH

Pick up from Delhi/ Chandigarh airport, break for tea, snacks/ lunch at Ambala and we start for Manali.

MANALI

Post breakfast a small local tour will be arranged and back to hotel by lunch hour. Have a relaxed afternoon and in the evening we will have a small briefing about expedition and some important tips, conducted by team leader and Zahir team.

MANALI TO SARCHU

We will be starting bit early in the morning. Breakfast and lunch stops will be en-route. We will be crossing our first high pass Baralacha-la and beautiful suraj taal at the top.

SARCHU TO LEH

We will start early for leh from Sarchu. We have to cover 259 km approx. Today we will be driving through the Gata Loops to Lachulung-La (16,600ft), More plains, Tanglang-La (17,480ft) to finally reach Leh.

LEH

Relaxed day to get acclimatize, gentle walk around Leh market, local tour to shanty Stupa / Leh palace and back to hotel.

LEH TO NUBRA

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. Enroute, enjoy the spectacular views of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardung La Pass (18,390 feet). After spending some time at Khardung La, proceed to Nubra. On way we will visit Diksit Monastery, the 106 feet tall Maitreya Buddha standing tall.

NUBRA TO TURTUK TO NUBRA

Post breakfast we leave for Turtuk Villge, inhabitated by Balti people introducing to Balti Muslim culture. We will visit The Balti Heritage Museum which is maintained by one of the descendants of Balti ruler. After our lunch we will head back to nubra and reach to mesmerizing sand dunes in the cold desert of hunder valley and enjoy the Bactrian double Humped camel ride. This placed is also refreed to as ‘the desert in the Sky’.

NUBRA TO PANGONG

We will start post breakfast following the same route towards Leh till we reach Khalsar. From the Agyam bridge, we will take the route which leads us to the villages of Shyok and Durbuk. After Durbuk, towards Tangtse and we will follow the traditional route. Drive to Pangong Lake one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas. Situated at 14000 ft, more than half of the lake is within Chinese Territory and only one third parts lies in India. Explore the lake area, might catch some rare wildlife. Stay Overnight in Pangong.

PANGONG TO LEH

Early morning enjoy the picturesque view of Sun rise on the lake. After breakfast drive back to Leh, take a short halt at Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea and reach leh by early evening. Relax. Later evening you can visit the Loacl Leh market, buy few souvenir for family and friends.

LEH FLY OUT

We will bid goodbye carrying good memories to cherish and share with family and friends.
